Instructors: Theresa May and Amanda Hodge
Chair yoga is a gentle practice in which postures are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. This type of yoga is safe and beneficial for everyone. You'll learn how to perform yoga and the benefits of a meditation practice; research shows that mindfulness and meditation can reduce depression and pain and boost emotional well-being. This popular class makes its routine return engagement for the fall.
About the Presenters: Theresa May has been practicing yoga for 23 years and teaching yoga and meditation since 2006. Theresa shares, "I was amazed how yoga and meditation improved my life inside and out and wanted to share that with others to help them as it has helped me."
Amanda Hodge has been teaching chair yoga since 2014 and it is her passion! Amanda shares, "Teaching others that yoga is for everybody and everyone, moving everything from head to toe, learning to breathe all the while having fun."
